by timhill on 15 February, 2008

I’m on sick leave following a radical mastoidectomy on my right ear on 7th Feb. Bone and muscle grafts and under anesthetic for nearly 4 hours 🙁  Should be back in action on 25th Feb 08.

Thanks to John Edwards

by timhill on 1 February, 2008

John has decided to suspend his campaign. I’d just like to record my thanks to him for speaking up for those who are too often forgotten in American Presidential races – the poor, the voiceless and the under-priveleged.  My hope now is that Hillary Clinton will keep to her pledge to John to make fighting […]

Lamp post outside 85, Bedford Road, Wootton

by timhill on 1 February, 2008

I’m pleased to report that a couple of residents rang me last night to thank me as the light is now back on. Amazing what a bit of co-ordination can do 🙂

Slightly better news from the USA. John got nearly 20% of the vote in the South Carolina primary. The turnout was over 500,000 compared to 230,000 in 2004. I have consulted with the residents of that side of Fields Road.  The feedback is mixed at the moment; some are saying it is badly needed whilst others are saying it would cost too much and the County […]

My man John Edwards gets stuffed in Nevada

by timhill on 20 January, 2008

I’m in an even bigger state of despair about the USA today. I began to have doubts about that country when their electoral system ensured George “Dubya” Bush scraped home to a narrow victory in 2000 against the now-Nobel Prize winner Al Gore. Then they gave him an even bigger victory over John kerry in […]

What a weekend

by timhill on 20 January, 2008

What a weekend we’ve been having. First the team I’m in finishes only 8th out of 17 teams in the Hastingsbury School PTA Quiz Night….but we beat the team Judith and Gordon were in though 🙂 More seriously, it was great that 6 Liberal Democrat friends came as a team to support fundraising efforts for Lizzie’s […]
