The Swan – Appeal allowed

by timhill on 2 January, 2014

Thanks to a diligent Parish Councillor, I have been informed that the Appeal by the developer against the refusal by the Borough’s Planning Committee for The Swan development has been allowed L

Here’s the link to the decision:

I believe this decision is very bad news for all those concerned with the history and heritage of Elstow.

The Inspector seems happy that the historic views across the green will now be much restricted and that the Church End/High Street junction will now be even more dangerous than before.

When I heard that the Inspector had visited the site without any advance notice, I began to have my concerns as to what his decision would be.

However, the decision has been made and the Parish Council and I now need to work with the developer to ensure we can get the best for Elstow that we possibly can.
